lula bean cafe :: 797 grand st

right on the border of williamburg and bushwick, lies lula bean cafe. The owner is a super nice dude who will always let you pay next time if you don’t have scratch, and they have a blended espresso machine from the 1960’s that you dump 64 oz of espresso shots into, pulled ONE double at a time. the result is soft serve coffee like you’ve never had before. today we drank tequila instead.

i stopped off and saw ken over @ BMW for a sec to shoot the shop, shoot the shit, and grab a couple decals for my frame.

i live 2 blocks, literally, from the shop. i can see their front door from where i get coffee every morning.

contrary to what you may think, there is still a TON of in house fab still going on at BMW. prototypes, one offs, CNC machines, lathes, jigs, and everything else you need to build some of NYC’s burliest bikes and components. thanks for letting us stop by, ken. appreciate it.
