After a week of prepping, masking, sanding, and painting; I finally tore the tape off the 180 and began re-fitting the parts. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my math was correct, and my Koguchi Power fenders tuck the 17x13 BBS RS wheels I’ve been building quite nicely.
I really decided to center this build around these rare fenders, so I opted to leave them unfinished; the beautiful, gloss white plastic coating demonstrates the superb quality of this elusive wide-body kit - and I thought it’d be a shame to cover them with paint.

After shooting clear and waiting a day or two, I opted to re-shoot the rear bumper after noticing some runs in my final coat..
This was my first time shooting a tri-coat pearl. Although more time-consuming, it’s fun and exciting to lay the in-between coat of mica; shooting repeated coats until you’ve reached a desired level of pearly matte shine….

We stopped by the paint shop in Bend to check on the FC today. The fitment looks great and we’re getting all set to shoot base!

Shot more primer on the 180 today… Zack and I were very excited to see how the Sylvia hood conversion we did looks with a solid color on it.
Rather than forking over 500 bucks for a new hood ( I traded my sylvia stuff for a 180sx front end to match my Koguchi Power kit), we got out the epoxy and the cutting tools.  It turned out pretty well, and only cost me about 70 dollars in supplies. Rad.

I caught this photo of my wheels posted on Memoryfab.com’s FB page. Chill.
Thanks again to David @ Memoryfab for helping me get these rare wheels rebarreled and finally finished.

Thanks again to Levelride Concepts for the beautiful interior fabrication work. The next time I photograph my car, the exterior will match the interior!
I also picked up a BCL wing on the cheap, that I’ve been bringing back to life after local drifter Scott Pham thrashed and destroyed it beautifully during the 2013 Pro-Am season..
